Dismantling of a terrorist group by the Iranian Intelligence Ministry
Iranian security forces have dismantled a terrorist cell affiliated with foreign spy agencies, the Intelligence Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Security and intelligence forces dismantled a terrorist group in an operation as it attempted to commit acts of sabotage and terrorist attacks against Iran's vital and sensitive centers, the statement said.
He added that more information about the terrorist group will be revealed to the people in the near future. In July, Iranian security forces also dismantled a terrorist group affiliated with the Israeli spy agency, the Mossad, and captured its members.
"A network of agents of the Zionist regime (Mossad) was dismantled and captured with a large shipment of weapons and ammunition after arriving at the western border crossings of the country," said the Director general of the Ministry of Intelligence in charge of counterintelligence.
"Mossad agents intended to use the equipment during riots in cities and villages and for assassination operations," he said, adding that " during the presidential elections, the Zionist regime also intended to carry out acts of sabotage in different parts of the country on several occasions, but this was doomed to failure.
