Algerian Navy tests Kalibr Club-s missiles fired from Kilo submarines


The Algerian Navy has just proceeded to destroy ground targets by firing cruise missiles from two submarines Kilo 636, recently purchased from Russia, according to a defense statement. According to the site Menadefense, the missiles used are Club-s Kalibr.

Sunday, September 29, in Oran, in western Algeria, the Algerian Navy tested, for the second time in maneuvers with live ammunition, its last two submarines of Class Kilo 636 acquired from Russia, says a statement from the Ministry of National Defence (DND). This exercise, the first of its kind to involve ground targets, was conducted under the supervision of Army General Ahmed Gaïd Salah, chief of staff of the National People's Army (ANP) and Deputy Minister of National Defence, says DND.
