The chief of staff: Iran has not started any war, but will defend itself if it is attacked
The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has said that his country is ready to firmly defend his security and interests in the Gulf.
"History testifies that we have not started any war or aggression, but in case of an offensive against our country, we will defend our sovereignty," he said (Iranian Agency).
